Transforming Libraries and Empowering Library Staff
Hi there! I’m Bea.
I am a firm believer that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their mental health. As a mental health expert, educator, and advocate, I believe in the power of empathy, education, and empowerment.
I believe individuals should:
Have the knowledge needed to prioritize their mental health
Feel empowered to make the changes they need and
Feel safe, and supported to provide a mindful trauma-informed approach to services in our communities.
I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Trauma Informed Care professional, and a Mental Health Educator.
I have presented and facilitated professional development training to educators, mental health school staff, and library staff in the areas of child abuse, suicide, crisis response, toxic stress, self-care, mindfulness, trauma-informed services, mental health awareness, and more.
